Sydney Lentz is Vice President, Organizational
Consulting Services of Right Management Consultants, Great Lakes
Region.
Professional Profile
Dr. Lentz leads
the leadership development practice area for the Great Lakes
Region. With over 20
years of consulting experience, her specialties include leadership
development, strategic planning, organization development, senior
team alignment and leadership assessment. Dr. Lentz also serves as an
adjunct faculty with
Oakland
University's
Healthcare Executive MBA Program, teaching a class on leadership and
teamwork.
Before joining
Right,
Sydney was an executive consultant
with Personnel Decisions International serving as practice leader
for leadership development, and industry leader for the healthcare
industry. Previously,
she held internal consulting positions within General Motors
Corporation, working at all levels from the plant floor to the
corporate executive suite.
She also spent several years consulting with school systems
in
Michigan,
Wisconsin, and
Minnesota.
Sydney has
published numerous articles and spoken at a number of national
conferences on topics related to leadership and organizational
change.
Education
Dr. Lentz received
an M.A. in Educational Psychology and a Ph.D. in Planning from The
University of Michigan.

Leadership Development - Worked with
leaders at all levels in a healthcare organization to assess
skills and insure the right people were in the right
positions. Has
designed and implemented a wide variety of customized leadership
programs for large and small organizations

Organization Development - Designed a
strategic visioning process to double the size/profits of a
mid-sized chemical company.
Worked with a Tier I auto supplier on breaking down
functional silos and creating an integrated, high-performing
organization.
Developed processes that included the entire organization
in large-scale culture change projects.

Senior Team Alignment - Developed a
process for diagnosing teams and helping them align around
business goals and become high performing. Used this process to
turnaround a team in the financial industry resulting in the team
surpassing their growth/profit goals.

Leadership Assessment - Worked with
many leadership teams to help them assess their leadership skills
against the competencies needed for future success using such
tools as 360 evaluation, personality inventories, and in-depth
behavioral assessments.
